Many Mighty Miracles – Alma 26:11-12

11 But Ammon said unto him: I do not boast in my own strength, nor in my own wisdom; but behold, my joy is full, yea, my heart is brim with joy, and I will rejoice in my God.
12 Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever.

As I complete my study of miracles, I’m pondering the fact that many of the miracles in our lives are carried out by people with the help of the Lord. In the passage above, Ammon shares with his brothers his amazement that they were able, by the power of God, to bring so many of the Laminates to a knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
As President Thomas S. Monson has taught:

The sweetest experience I know in life is to feel a prompting and act upon it and later find out that it was the fulfillment of someone’s prayer or someone’s need. (quoted in William R. Walker, “Our Prophet Thomas S. Monson,” CES Devotional for Young Adults, May 5, 2013).

Today, I will seek to follow the promptings of the Holy Ghost, particularly when I am prompted to do something for another person. I will remember that we can participate in miracles as we follow the will of the Lord and serve our brothers and sisters.
