1 Nephi 6:3 It Mattereth Not to Me…for I Desire the Room

3 And it mattereth not to me that I am particular to give a full account of all the things of my father, for they cannot be written upon these plates, for I desire the room that I may write of the things of God.
This life is full of decisions regarding the allocation of scarce resources.  Whether it be money, time, talent, or energy, we have a limited supply, and we have to decide how to spend them.  It doesn’t do us a lot of good to waste time wishing that we could do more.  The goal is not to do everything, because everything can’t be done.  The goal is to prioritize and to spend our limited resources on the things that matter most.
Today, I will spend my time wisely.  I will focus on my highest priorities and avoid being distracted by lower priorities, however enticing they may be.  I will say with Nephi, “It mattereth not” that I can’t do those other things, because I need the room in my schedule for the things of greatest value.
