The Restoration Proclamation opens with the affirmation “that God loves His children in every nation of the world.”
Elder Gerrit W. Gong testified:
To each of us in every nation, kindred, tongue, and people, God promises, covenants, and invites us to come partake of His abundant joy and goodness.
God’s love for all people is affirmed throughout scripture. That love encompasses the Abrahamic covenant, gathering His scattered children, and His plan of happiness in our lives.

When Moroni appeared as an angel to Joseph Smith in 1823, he made it clear that this visit to a small log cabin in Palmyra, New York had global implications:
He called me by name, and said unto me that he was a messenger sent from the presence of God to me, and that his name was Moroni; that God had a work for me to do; and that my name should be had for good and evil among all nations, kindreds, and tongues,
Joseph Smith—History 1:33
The first part of that work was to translate the Book of Mormon, which testifies on its Title Page, “that Jesus is the Christ, the Eternal God, manifesting himself unto all nations.”
So the Restoration of the gospel is intended to bless everyone, in every nation of the world.
President Russell M. Nelson has a unique perspective on this principle. Because of his service as an apostle for more than 40 years, he has seen the impact of the gospel of Jesus Christ across the world. In a 2023 speech to Morehouse College in Georgia, he said:
I have traveled to 138 countries in my life. I can state without equivocation that God pours out His Spirit liberally upon all who seek Him. God does not love one race more than another. His feelings of inclusion are very clear. As recorded in the Book of Mormon, which I esteem as companion scripture to the Holy Bible, the Savior “invite(s) all to come unto Him and partake of his goodness; … he (denies) none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female; … all are alike unto God.”
“Morehouse College Peace Prize Award Acceptance Message,” 13 April 2023
Today, I will remember that the Restoration begins with God’s love. I will remember that the principles, authority, and power which God is restoring to the earth are intended to bless all of His children, in every nation of the world.
