And Also Every Day – Mosiah 18:23

When we keep the Sabbath Day holy consistently, we develop habits of mind which can permeate our entire week. After Alma was converted by the teachings of Abinadi, he preached the gospel to his people, baptized many of them, and organized the church. Among his instructions to the church are the dual admonitions in the passage above: observe the Sabbath Day, and give thanks to God every day.
This week, I will remember that the spirit of reverence which I cultivate on Sundays can bless my life every day. Even though I don’t restrict my activities in the same way on weekdays and Saturdays, I can still fill those days with holiness as I continually thank my Heavenly Father for His blessings.
