27 And it came to pass that we lived after the manner of happiness.
(2 Nephi 5:27)
This week, I’m going to study–and practice–happiness.
As Lehi explained to his son Jacob, “Men are that they might have joy” (2 Nephi 2:25). And as Joseph Smith taught, “Happiness is the object and design of our existence; and will be the end thereof, if we pursue the path that leads to it” (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, selected by Joseph Fielding Smith [1976], 255–56).
This week, in my Book of Mormon study, and in my daily living, I will focus on the joyful life. I will seek to identify principles and engage in activities which will help me–and the people around me–to live “after the manner of happiness.”
