37 And blessed are they who shall seek to bring forth my Zion at that day, for they shall have the gift and the power of the Holy Ghost; and if they endure unto the end they shall be lifted up at the last day, and shall be saved in the everlasting kingdom of the Lamb; and whoso shall publish peace, yea, tidings of great joy, how beautiful upon the mountains shall they be.
In the passage above, an angel prophesies to Nephi that, in our day, the people who “seek to bring forth Zion” will be blessed with the gift and power of the Holy Ghost. Furthermore, if they endure to the end—keep working at it diligently over time—they will be saved in the kingdom of God.
As Thomas S. Monson taught:
Remember that this work is not yours and mine alone. It is the Lord’s work, and when we are on the Lord’s errand, we are entitled to the Lord’s help. Remember that whom the Lord calls, the Lord qualifies (“Duty Calls,” General Conference, April 1996).
Today, I will seek to bring forth Zion. I will pray to know how I can serve more productively, knowing that the Lord will bless me with the power of the Holy Ghost as I do His work.
