That Which Hath No Life – Mormon 8:39

39 Why do ye adorn yourselves with that which hath no life, and yet suffer the hungry, and the needy, and the naked, and the sick and the afflicted to pass by you, and notice them not?

How often do we prioritize inanimate objects over people? Do we really think our cell phones, books, or TVs are more important than family, friends, and neighbors? And yet, how often do we act as though an object like these which “hath no life” matters more than another person in the same room!
Today, I will prioritize people over things. I will live in the moment and enjoy the time I have with other people. I will focus on loving and serving others and will not allow myself to be distracted by objects or projects of lesser importance.
