Moroni 9:6 That We May Conquer the Enemy of All Unrighteousness

6 And now, my beloved son, notwithstanding their hardness, let us labor diligently; for if we should cease to labor, we should be brought under condemnation; for we have a labor to perform whilst in this tabernacle of clay, that we may conquer the enemy of all righteousness, and rest our souls in the kingdom of God.
(Moroni 9:6)
This is the perfect verse for those who are discouraged because the people they serve are not receptive to their message.  Ironically, where discipleship is concerned, it’s about you first and foremost, not about them!  You can’t control how they will receive your message, but you can control how faithfully, diligently, and enthusiastically you deliver it.  As an imperfect messenger, you need to give this work your all, partly because that is how you “conquer the enemy of all righteousness” within your own soul. Even if your listeners don’t respond to your message, the work you do to teach them is essential to your own salvation!

  1. Paul, I want you to know that I used your thoughts on Moroni 9:6 in 2 of the meetings I facilitated with women participating in Mom Power and Warrior Mothers Who know today. I shared my screen in our online meeting to show your site and read right from it. I also shared your URL to all and will send it out in our resources. Since I am unaware of your site before this morning when I was prepping for my meetings, it is obvious that the Lord is aware of you and I and caring fur us as we are all trying to support his awesome work and cause. Bless you for your work and for helping me today. Your efforts and goodness matter!!

    1. Thanks for reaching out, Karen. I’m grateful that this post was meaningful to you and to the participants in your program. I hadn’t heard of Mothers Who Know before, so I went out and took a look at your website. Thank you for all you are doing to support mothers! Parenting is hard work, and especially when one of your children is dealing with a significant challenge. It is so important to support one another in this important work.
      Have a great day!
