Alma 7:24 See That Ye Have Faith, Hope, and Charity

This is a good pattern.  Instead of focusing primarily on the good works, focus on developing the Christlike attributes of faith, hope, and charity, and the good works will follow.  As King Benjamin taught, it is impossible to list all of the ways we can go wrong.  It is likewise impossible to dictate all of the good things we could do.  But if we have become good people, we will intuitively do good things and avoid evil.
