That They Do Always Remember Him – Moroni 5:2

2 O God, the Eternal Father, we ask thee, in the name of thy Son, Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this wine to the souls of all those who drink of it, that they may do it in remembrance of the blood of thy Son, which was shed for them; that they may witness unto thee, O God, the Eternal Father, that they do always remember him, that they may have his Spirit to be with them. Amen.

As disciples of Christ, we not only learn from Him and strive to emulate Him but we also serve as His representatives to the world. He said, “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another” (John 13:35). He also said, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).
When you represent another person or an organization, you set aside your own agenda, your own ambitions, and even your own desire for comfort and convenience. You focus your efforts on the person you represent, not on yourself. Why must we always remember the Savior? Because we have taken His name upon ourselves. We can’t represent Him effectively unless we are engaged in His work, and we can’t do His work effectively unless we are thinking about Him. “For how knoweth a man the master whom he has not served, and who is a stranger unto him, and is far from the thoughts and intents of his heart” (Mosiah 5:13)?
Today, I will remember the Savior. I will strive to do His will and to achieve His goals. I will let my light shine, remembering His clarification to the Nephites: “Behold I am the light which ye shall hold up” (3 Nephi 18:24).
