When we love one another, we become unified. I’ve had the opportunity the past few days to see many good friends whom I haven’t seen for a long time. “Knit together” is an apt description of how I feel.
What a great blessing it is to have good friends! You do feel connected with them, “knit together” in a very real sense. Your happiness is tied to their happiness. You feel a sense of community and therefore a sense of purpose. You feel that you are part of something bigger than yourself. Ultimately, we know that these friendships and the joy they bring will endure beyond the grave:

Today, I am grateful for my good friends and for the unity and the love I share with them.
