27 And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.
I love the promise in the middle of this verse: “My grace is sufficient for all.” That promise is particularly important in light of the first sentence in the verse. As we become aware of our faults and shortcomings, the way we avoid losing our hope is by recognizing that He has the power to save us. An awareness of our weaknesses makes us humble, and that humility unlocks His power to turn those weaknesses into strengths.
Today, as I become aware of my weaknesses, I will turn to the Lord, with full confidence that His grace is sufficient for me.
