To my readers,
As you’re all aware, I’ve been studying the Book of Mormon sequentially during the year 2015. I intentionally scheduled my study to complete the book this Thursday, December 31. At that point, I will have written at least one post for every chapter in the book.
As I’ve shared with some of you, my experience with this blog has been wonderful. Many times, after reading a chapter, I have no idea what to write. But as I ponder what I have read, insights and ideas invariably flow. It has been a remarkable experience to learn something every day from the word of God.
Some of you have commented on my efforts to apply the scriptures in my daily life. I have ended most of my posts this year with the words, “Today I will…” Those personal applications have been a great blessing in my life, and I have seen the hand of the Lord many times in helping me learn the lessons and develop the skills and attributes that I need to be successful in my various roles in life.
I have decided to continue writing daily posts in 2016. However, instead of reading the Book of Mormon sequentially, I’m going study the book by topic. I am planning to select a topic each week, read and ponder passages which relate to that topic, and write a post each day about the insights I am gaining. I will also continue to share how I am applying the principles I learn in my daily life.
I have appreciated the feedback you have given me this year, whether in person, via email, or through direct comments on my posts. I hope that the interaction will continue into the new year. As I study and ponder gospel topics, I hope that you will share your insights on those topics as well.
Additionally, I’d like to invite you to consider writing an occasional “guest post.” I have received such insightful comments from readers of the blog that I’d like to have readers serve as “guest bloggers” from time to time. If you are interested in contributing content to the blog, please email me, and we’ll work out the details.
