5 O house of Jacob, come ye and let us walk in the light of the Lord; yea, come, for ye have all gone astray, every one to his wicked ways.
Here’s what I think it means to “walk in the light of the Lord”:
- It means that we make decisions in the context of eternal principles, instead of limiting our perspective to short-term goals and desires.
- It means that we trust the Lord as He illuminates our path forward, sometimes one step at a time.
- It also means that we have an attitude of faith and optimism. When we are filled with His light, we are aware of the challenges around us but not consumed by them. We are able to see them with more clarity and can therefore make wiser decisions about how to face them.
What does walking in the light mean to you?
