With his summary of the Jaredite record, Moroni thought he had completed his father’s project, and he honestly didn’t expect to live much longer. But he did, and he realized that there were a few more things he could add to the book which would be helpful to his future readers. This final book—the book of Moroni—is a compilation of those materials.
