The people become jaded. They are no longer amazed by signs and wonders. They are no longer receptive to preaching. The Gadianton robbers became so numerous that the Nephites and the Lamanites became united against their common enemy.

  2. Miracles can motivate us to take the actions which will strengthen us spiritually, but we must choose to take those actions in order to experience the growth.
