2 Nephi 22 – Two Millennial Psalms (Isaiah 12)

After prophesying of the Millennium, Isaiah writes two short psalms which represent the joy that we will feel when the Savior returns to the earth.


Chapter Outline

  1. First psalm: My strength, my song, and my salvation (v. 1-2)
  2. You will joyfully draw water from the well of salvation (v. 3)
  3. Second psalm: Praise the Lord; declare his doings (v. 4-6)

My Takeaways

  1. We should praise God with enthusiasm.
  2. if we spent more time identifying happy events in our lives, we would see the hand of the Lord more clearly

Isaiah’s second millenial psalm is a call to action, encouraging us to share our faith in a variety of ways: praising, testifying, singing, and even shouting. Nephi followed the guidance in this psalm, sharing his testimony of Christ in a variety of ways.
