Moroni taught that God is an unchanging God of miracles:
And who shall say that Jesus Christ did not do many mighty miracles? And there were many mighty miracles wrought by the hands of the apostles.
Mormon 9:18-19
And if there were miracles wrought then, why has God ceased to be a God of miracles and yet be an unchangeable Being? And behold, I say unto you he changeth not; if so he would cease to be God; and he ceaseth not to be God, and is a God of miracles.
The reason we sometimes see fewer miracles, Moroni explains, is because there is less faith. Miracles come by faith, and whenever people exercise faith, there will be miracles.
The ministry of Elisha is a miracle-filled period in Israelite history. Some of the miracles he performed have parallels in the ministry of Jesus, more than 800 years later. For example:

As these examples illustrate, God’s miracles are always available for those who exercise faith. In each of these cases, someone had to act in faith before the miracle occurred.
This week, as we study the ministry of Elisha, let’s look for lessons from the miracles he performed. Let’s focus particularly on the various ways people invited those miracles by exercising faith.
