Mosiah 2:41 They Are Blessed in All Things

41 And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual…  (Mosiah 2:41)

What does it mean to be “blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual?”
For one thing, it means that our blessings are not exclusively intangible.  The Lord will bless us in things which have temporary (temporal) value, but which can help us be happy now.  He wants us to have joy, and He is eager to give us blessings which will enrich our life, here and now.
However, being “blessed in all things” is not the same as getting everything you want.  If we are being righteous, repenting of our sins, and following the path of discipleship, and if we are looking for blessings, we will see them in all facets of our lives.  They may not be the same blessings we would have asked for, but if we are thoughtful, we will recognize that they are the blessings which our Father has seen fit in his loving kindness to pour down upon His children who follow him.
