1. Recordkeeping is a sacred duty. 2. The Spirit speaks with a still small voice. 3. Trust God to remove the "tares" from our lives in His time. 4. God can help us be a light in a darkened world. 5. Holy places provide safety.
Doctrine and Covenants 84: “The Power of Godliness” (July 28 – August 3)
1. God's power can sanctify us and bring us peace. He supports us as we do His work. 2. His priesthood confers both obligations and blessings. Always be ready to share the gospel with confidence. 3. God's light is universally available. Don't take for granted the knowledge you have received.
Doctrine and Covenants 81-83: Where “Much Is Given Much Is Required” (July 21-27)
1. Pray sincerely, in public and in private. 2. Uplift and strengthen the people around you. 3. Use your blessings to bless others. 4. God's commandments are instructions for happiness. 5. God is perfectly reliable. 6. Serve others according to their needs and wants. 7. God expects us to care for the most vulnerable among us.
Doctrine and Covenants 77-80: “I Will Lead You Along” (July 14-20)
1. Those who worship God are blessed with knowledge and power. 2. Jesus fulfilled God's plan. 3. Strive to see everyone as your equal. 4. God will lead us to heavenly treasures. 5. We should be grateful in all things. 6. The Holy Ghost will direct us. 7. Don't be distracted by low-priority details.
Doctrine and Covenants 76: “Great Shall Be Their Reward and Eternal Shall Be Their Glory” (July 7-13)
1. God is eager to reveal truth to us. 2. There is power in personal testimony,. 3. The Savior's gospel is simple and clear. 4. We are children of God with extraordinary potential. 5. The testimony of Jesus is a key differentiator in the next life. 6. God can help us see ourselves more clearly.
Doctrine and Covenants 71-75: “No Weapon That Is Formed against You Shall Prosper” (June 30-July 6)
1. Don't be afraid to proclaim the truth. 2. Use your time wisely. 3. Be productive within your constraints. 4. Be patient with prophets; they are learning too. 5. Follow the Holy Ghost as you share the gpspel.
Doctrine and Covenants 67-70: “Worth … the Riches of the Whole Earth” (June 23-29)
1. Prioritize eternal acquisitions. 2. All good things originate from God. 3. Pride, fear, and jealousy can distance us from God. 4. Set the best possible example for your children. 5. Accept corrective feedback. 6. Give generously, not grudgingly.
Doctrine and Covenants 64-66: “The Lord Requireth the Heart and a Willing Mind” (June 16-22)
1. Forgiveness lightens our burdens. 2. Keep working toward eternal goals, even when you are tired. 3. Prepare for Christ's Second Coming by helping establish Zion. 4. We are "clean but not all." We still have more repenting to do. 5. Be careful not to overcommit. 6. Kindness is not antithetical with integrity.
Doctrine and Covenants 60-63: “I Am with the Faithful Always” (June 9-15)
1. God wants to bless us. 2. If we use our talents, they will grow. 3. Become more aware of the people around you. 4. The Savior is aware of our weaknesses and can succor us. 5. Angels rejoice over us. 6. Wear righteousness like you wear your clothes. 7. Be careful with sacred things.
Doctrine and Covenants 58-59: “Anxiously Engaged in a Good Cause” (June 2-8)
1. Hard times happen for a reason. 2. The challenges we face are temporary; blessings await on the other side. 3. Loving God and loving our neighbor is the heart of the gospel. 4. Righteousness means doing what's right, without needing to be asked. 5. Righteousness brings peace in our hearts, here and now.
