In 2026, I’m using the blog to write a book in serial fashion, Dickens-like. The book is tentatively titled Retaining Their Brightness: How the Book of Mormon Helps Us Read the Old Testament. Here’s how that process will work:
- I will continue to write a blog post every day. I expect each post to be 300-500 words, about a 1-2 minute read.
- Each blog post will relate to our Come, Follow Me assignment for the week and will show how the Book of Mormon enhances our understanding of that reading assignment.
- Blog posts will be more connected than they have been in the past. Think of each post as a subsection within a chapter. Each post should feel more like a continuation of the prior day’s content instead of a fresh start.
- I will probably make many edits to previously published posts, so don’t be surprised if you go back to a prior post and find that the content has evolved.
I’m also assembling groups of posts into completed chapters as I go. You can read the chapters I’ve completed so far here:
I will be most grateful for any feedback you are willing to share throughout the year, and I will take your comments into consideration as I create the finished product.
Thank you for joining me on this journey!
