The robbers attack the Nephites and are badly defeated by the Nephite army. As they retreat, their leader, Giddianhi, is killed. His successor, Zemnarihah, attempts to place the Nephites under siege. He is captured and executed. After his death, the Nephites sing a song of praise to God.
