1. God intends for us to exercise agency. 2. Be conscientious about fulfilling your duty. 3. Communicate cheerfully, diplomatically, and honestly. 4. An order is more than a community. 5. Jesus can transform us. We indicate our willingness by repenting.

1. King Benjamin: Believe 2. Zeniff and Limhi: Don't be afraid of your wildernesses. 3. King Noah: Be willing to hear hard things. 4. Gideon: Speak up, and lead out. 5. Alma and Limhi: Bear your burdens with grace.

1. Jacob: Set reasonable goals, and stick with them. 2. Enos: Find joy. 3. Amaleki: Be inclusive. 4. Mormon: As the Spirit works through you, it also works on you.

3 lessons from 2 Nephi: 1. Participate regularly in activities which fill you with a sense of wonder. 2. The church provides structure which helps us to discipline ourselves. 3. We can give things to God, and He can consecrate them for our gain.

Four themes from 1 Nephi have helped me as I start a new year: 1. Timing matters. 2. Good parenting includes both confidence and concern. 3. When you face a big challenge or project, get started. 4. The Holy Ghost can guide us constantly.

In 2023, I learned a lot about balance from the Gospels, about adaptability from Acts, about relationships from the epistles of Paul, about spiritual growth from the General Epistles, and about joyful worship from the book of Revelation.

Lessons from the book of Revelation: 1. God governs the universe. 2. God invites us to recieve His blessings. 3. Discipleship requires total commitment. 4. The Second Coming of Jesus Christ will be a joyful occasion.

1. We should dedicate our greatest efforts to supporting and guiding our children. 2. God's love and light can help us endure adversity. 3. God will help us develop the divine nature that is within us.

As I've studied the epistles of Paul this fall, I've learned principles that have helped me improve my relationship with God, with other people, and with myself. Here are some of the principles that have been beneficial to me.

1. Disciples of Jesus Christ need to be adaptable. 2. We need to be willing to respond to difficult messages. 3. We can share the gospel regardless of our circumstances. 4. There is safety in recognizing and following inspired leaders.
