There is something powerful about a sincere declaration of faith, coupled with an honest acknowledgement of our own limitations. A father who approached the Savior declared his belief while asking Him to help with his unbelief. We can do the same.
Hypocrite
A hypocrite is an actor, a person who is making decisions under a false identity. Jesus warned us against hypocrisy in giving, praying, fasting, and judging. We need to focus on real accomplishments, not appearances.
What Does It Mean to Do Something with “Real Intent?”
After teaching us about the baptism of the Savior, Nephi pleads with us to "follow the Son, with full purpose of heart, acting no hypocrisy and no deception before God, but with real intent" (2 Nephi 31:13).
