After three weeks summarizing 150 psalms and finding 67 Book of Mormon connections, I discuss four overarching psalmic themes which also appear in the Book of Mormon: tender mercies, the hazards of pit-digging, the sorrows of death and pains of hell, and the importance of approaching God with broken hearts and contrite spirits.

Psalms 101-150 include more psalms of David, the longest psalm (119), some important Messianic prophecies (110 and 118), and the longest psalm (119). Also, the songs of ascent, which were sung en route to the temple (120-134) and the closing Hallel (146-150), five psalms of pure joy.
Temple Psalms
Yesterday was my last day serving as a temple worker in the Columbia, South Carolina temple. I've never had a bad day serving in the temple, and several psalms verbalize well the joy I feel in the house of the Lord, particularly psalms 23, 24, 84, and 100.
